OUR STORY
How Nexus Began
Nexus Early Learning was born from a heartfelt dream, one shaped by the journeys and shared vision of our founders, Amanda Choi and Winson Tan.
Amanda’s path began when she moved from Malaysia to Australia, carrying with her a deep passion for working with children. With almost a decade in early childhood education from her early days as a student teacher through to leading kindergarten classrooms, she developed a strong belief in the power of individualised care, meaningful relationships, and truly understanding each child. Alongside her hands-on experience, Amanda holds a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education and a Diploma in Early Childhood (Montessori), which continue to shape the way we approach learning every day.
Together, Amanda and Winson created Nexus with a clear intention: to build a place that feels like a second home. A place where children are not only cared for, but genuinely known, respected, and inspired to grow in their own unique way.
Grounded in the strengths of both Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies, Nexus offers a thoughtful blend of structure and creativity where children are given the freedom within boundaries to explore, discover, and build confidence at their own pace.
At its heart, Nexus is more than a childcare centre. It’s a warm, inclusive community where children, families, and educators grow together — proudly family owned and operated, with relationships at the centre of everything we do 🤍
